It’s been a while since I felt able to extol the virtues of a new hotel opening but with three coming along at the same time from one of my faves, The Palladium Hotel Group, and clients looking for both short and longer-term European break solutions, these tick many boxes.
Recently opened, these new hotels proudly boast the Palladium stamp of quality, luxury and are dedicated to strict health and safety protocols to guarantee guests safety.
Palladium Hotel Menorca
This four-star hotel is located just 23km from the international airport, at the top of a hill, with perfect 360-degree views of the stunning Arenal d’en Castell beach and the surrounding area and offering all-inclusive and half board options.
Its interior features spacious and modern rooms, decorated with a colour scheme to reflect the cool, calming vibes of the island, mirroring the beautiful Menorcan waters.
I highly recommend booking a room with a sea view over the bay.
Two impressive restaurants serve the finest world cuisine with the Sa Barca restaurant, specialising in showcooking and providing the opportunity to try traditional dishes from the Balearic Islands.
The hotel also has three impressive bars: Gregal Bar, Shake it! Pool Bar and a comedy theatre bar.
All the bars and public areas have amazing open-air terraces, a great place to grab a drink and chill, whilst watching the sunset over the ocean.
There's plenty of options when it comes to cooling off, with three exclusive swimming pools, a spa to relax in and an adult-only area with a small infinity pool and Balinese beds.
The hotel is also close to a water park for even more options for both small and big kids.
The kids club and entertainment are managed by the lovely Hannah from Kent who has a soft spot for the British guests, so always looks after them extra well.
If you can manage to peel yourself away from the luxury of your surroundings for a while, the area is great for walking and hiking, with beautiful countryside nearby and trails to follow through the woodland and along the coastline where you will find some of the islands most impressive beaches.
The capital Mahón is only 30 minutes away with a local bus costing only 2 euros going from the bottom of the road every day.
The Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Garden Beach Resort & Spa
These two brand new hotels, inspired by ‘la bella vita’ (beautiful life) located on the gorgeous southern Italian island of Sicily.
Sitting on the beachfront, with a privileged location in the town of Campofelice di Roccella, close to Palermo and the airport, the resorts have 10 hectares of exclusive facilities designed for all types of travellers, including couples, families and groups.
Modern, bright, and well-equipped rooms either face over the gardens to the mountains or with a sea view.
Services include the Infinite Indulgence service®, which invites guests to escape and enjoy their holiday without limits whilst the Dine Around programme features three à la carte restaurants and six bars.
I have already received feedback that the food is amazing with special mentions for the clay oven pizzas in the poolside restaurant and delicious burgers served in the 24-hour sports bar, and staff delivering ice cream, pizza and limoncello to your sunbed, so no need to move away from the pool for a snack!
There are no less than four swimming pools, a Spa & Wellness centre, a Baby and Mini Club for kids and a full programme of activities and live shows.
Use the hotel as a base and take the train, hire a car, or take a boat trip and explore Palermo, the islands, the ancient sites and the old towns, there is so much to see and do in beautiful Sicily.
