It may still be a little premature to be thinking about escaping the UK for a bit of luxury sunshine but looking a little further ahead there are some fantastic deals being offered that I don’t think will hang around for very long. If you’re looking for the heat and culture of the Emirates at an extremely reasonable cost, with minimal construction work in view and with gorgeous natural white sand beaches then Ajman is a must. It’s the smallest Emirate, only 30 minutes from Dubai airport and I had the pleasure of visiting last autumn. There are a few hotels which scored very highly on the Shaylometer but the Hotel Fairmont Ajman tipped the balance on its bathrooms which is always my deciding factor in a hotel dead heat.
