Before the devastating outbreak of Covid-19 put a hold on the world’s travel plans, I was due to check out and report back on this luxurious, 5 star, adult-focused, all suites hotel that has been recommended by several trusted associates as a fabulous short-haul sunshine and relaxation option for my clients.
I hope to reschedule my trip very soon, but in the meantime, to celebrate the launch of my new blog as I had planned, I still wanted to whet your appetite, as well as my own, with a little preview piece and daydream about better days ahead...
The romantic city of Paphos is located on the southwest coast of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, just a three and a half hour flight from the UK.
Home to several sites relating to the cult of the goddess Aphrodite, whose mythical birthplace was Old Paphos (Kouklia), New Paphos is a modern city. Built in the last quarter of the fourth century, it now includes a harbour, along with the ancient ruins of tombs, fortresses, theatres and villas at the Paphos Archaeological Park.
On a secluded beachside setting, situated amidst landscaped gardens and overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, is The Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites Hotel. Designed exclusively for adults who appreciate a sun-kissed, tranquil environment with impeccable service, the hotel offers luxurious all suite accommodation alongside superb facilities.
The 119 suites, ranging from junior to one-bedroom and executive with a private pool and jacuzzi, are spacious with contemporary interiors.
I am reliably informed I will be welcome to indulge in the marble bathrooms, state-of-the-art amenities, stylish decor and the warm welcome of exceptional hospitality. Sounds pretty enticing to me.
A superb choice of dining options are on offer, with four restaurants, including the beachfront Kymata restaurant which provides glorious sea views and spectacular sunsets.
Alternatively, guests can choose the gourmet à la carte restaurant for an experience in fine dining. Guests on half board and the Deluxe package all-inclusive option have the added benefit of eating in all four restaurants with à la carte menus at no additional charge.
After dinner you can take a relaxing drink in one of the three bars providing evening entertainment.
A wide range of facilities to keep active if that is your thing are available, including two luxurious swimming pools with jacuzzi, an indoor swimming pool and tennis court.
The Elixir spa and health club offers a wide range of treatments with massage and body therapies, including aromatherapy and hydrotherapy. A fully air-conditioned fitness studio with strength training and cardio equipment is also on hand.
It’s all about the details here, with complimentary beach towels, sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool and beach area. Executive Suite guests also have the added luxury of their own private pool and exclusive use of the private beach cabanas.
Asimina Suites Hotel is conveniently located a short distance to local restaurants and bars and only 2km from Paphos’ resort centre. I can’t wait to go and share this one with you properly when I get back...
