With the pandemic causing a late cancellation of our post-wedding Mauritius honeymoon, there could easily have been cause for concern.
However, we had Jo, who took control of everything and brilliantly organised an unbelievable all-inclusive, alternative couple of weeks at the magnificent Stella Island in Crete.
The luxurious resort had everything we needed, the staff and service were outstanding, the food in the six restaurants was so good and the swim-up room was amazing.
Our apartment literally walked into the pool, which was so cool and never busy, and our location meant we had sun all day round.
We managed some day trips, which included a fantastic private yacht just for the two of us, where we were taken to clear blue waters to swim, fish and eat an on-board lunch; a day in the local beach town of Hersonissos that included water sports; and a group boat trip to a once leper island followed by a beach BBQ.
The weather was perfect throughout and we always ended up at the Mexican restaurant to enjoy a different and enjoyable show each night.
